Chinese Boxing Flicks

Bodyguards and Assassins is Chinese cinema at it's finest. Fine acting, smart writing, brilliant pacing and amazing sets vault this flick far above mere kung fu action movie. You will likely remember the various characters long after seeing the movie. Wang Xueqi tops the cast as a businessman turned revolutionary. This film puts Hollywood's output of late to real shame.

Ip Man, with megastar Donny Yen, is more of a straight Kung Fu flick. Biopic of Wing Chun grandmaster who was Bruce Lee's onetime sifu. Rivals Jet Li's Fist of Legend for pure "fu" entertainment.

i believe that this fight will definitely take place, despite the blood test & lawsuit distractions. they may each take a detour to another fighter first, but it is inevitable. congratulations to pacquiao for a stellar year, his achievements are extraordinary. "golden boy", "hitman" and "the angel" cannot be compared to mayweather however. "pretty boy" will remain undefeated after this one.
